HGRESA's mission statement was established in the early 2000s by a strategic team process led by the GDOE and facilitated by Executive Director, Mrs. June Bradfield. All entities were represented and much consideration was given to all suggested components. Through consensus, the following mission statement was developed. This mission statement was revisited through the years using the Dr. Bill Rauhauser School Improvement Process, but each time, committee members reached consensus that the statement represented what the Heart of Georgia RESA encompassed. This was revisited within three years ago, and there was consensus to keep the mission statement as stated.
HGRESA's mission is to provide leadership and assistance through consultative services, direct student services, and support services for member systems. This commitment is driven by our desire to promote a climate for educational excellence both within our systems and beyond.
